Move Firewood
The "Don't Move Firewood" website was developed by members of the Continental Dialogue on Non-Native Forest Insects and Diseases with the goal of abating the threat to North American forests from the human-mediated movement of non-native insects and diseases. The website is an unusual medium for this kind of conservation goal, and we hope to reach a wide audience of firewood users - especially the young people that our polling shows are most likely to carry firewood with them. The website is owned by The Nature Conservancy as part of its efforts to support the actions of the Continental Dialogue.
