Invasive Species Outreach Toolkit
DoD developed this toolkit to help installation natural resource managers and others protect the natural resources on our nation's military lands. This toolkit provides templates for brochures, posters, reference cards, PowerPoint presentations, and radio public service announcements to help resource managers educate others on the problem of invasives and how they can help support management efforts.

Playing Smart Against Invasive Species

'Playing Smart Against Invasive Species' videos produced by the USDA Forest Service are excellent resources for education and public outreach. These videos explain how people can enjoy the great outdoors and avoid spreading invasive species along the way. Videos ranging from 6-27 minutes targets outdoor recreational users and includes camping, horseback riding, canoeing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, biking, and others.

Living Green Episode - Invasive Exotics (29 minutes; available on DVD)
University of Florida. Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences.
This episode focuses on the importance of controlling invasive exotic plants, insects, and animals. Join host Dr. Mark Hostetler as he informs people about the importance of controlling the spread of invasive exotics, including introduced plants (Chinese tallow trees, wild taro, water hyacinths, and melaleuca trees), fire ants, and even released pets such as the large Nile monitor lizard. Options are explored for homeowners and landowners alike to control invasive species in their own communities.
