USDA Announces Additional Funding to Combat European Grapevine Moth in California (Feb 7, 2011)
USDA. Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has released $16.922 million in emergency funding to prevent the spread of European Grapevine Moth in California. The destructive moth was found in the Napa Valley of California in Oct 2009, which was the first occurrence of this moth in the U.S. and North America. EGVM is a serious pest of grape, feeding on the flowers and bunches. See European Grapevine Moth from the California Department of Food and Agriculture for more information.
