Boaters: New Regulations, Mandatory Inspections in Effect
Colorado Division of Wildlife.
New regulations are now in effect for the 2009 boating season. All out-of-state boats and resident boats that go out-of-state and return to Colorado must pass a state-certified inspection for zebra mussels and other aquatic nuisance species prior to launching in any Colorado lake, reservoir or waterway. In addition, boats that have launched on any of the Colorado lakes or reservoirs where mussels have been detected must pass an inspection before launching at a new location. See the 2009 Watercraft Inspection Program & Statewide Inspection Site List (PDF | 54 KB) for more information.

Boulder Reservoir - Boat Permits News for the 2009 Season
City of Boulder Colorado.
The reservoir will be implementing new protocols this season in an effort to protect against the introduction of aquatic nuisance species. All watercraft including canoes, kayaks, wind- and kite-surfers will require a boat permit to launch on the Boulder Reservoir.
