Comments Sought on New Invasives Species Plan (Jan 16, 2009)
Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Wildlife Resources Division.
The Georgia Invasive Species Advisory Committee has developed the Georgia Invasive Species Strategy Final Draft (Jan 16, 2009; PDF | 1.8 MB) to describe the scope of the state's invasive species problem and propose actions to minimize negative impacts. A draft plan that targets more than 180 invasive species threatening Georgia's rich variety of native wildlife is available for public comment. The deadline to submit comments is Feb 16, 2009.
