Fisheries Conservation Management for Region 6 States (Colorado, Kansas, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana, North, and South Dakota) - DOI-GRANTS-022206-001 (open Feb 23, 2006)
United States Department of the Interior; Grants.gov.
Project proposals are accepted continuously. Proposals are held in a Fish and Wildlife Service database until the project is funded or no longer viable.

North American Wetlands Conservation Act Small Grants
DOI. FWS. Division of Bird Habitat Conservation.
Promote long-term conservation of North American wetland ecosystems, and the waterfowl and other migratory birds, fish and wildlife that depend upon such habitat. Principal conservation actions supported by NAWCA are acquisition, creation, enhancement and restoration of wetlands and wetland-associated uplands. A total of $2 million has been approved to support projects in FY 2007.
The deadline for submitting proposals is Nov 30, 2007.

Fund for Wild Nature
Fund for Wild Nature.
The Fund for Wild Nature provides money for campaigns to save and restore native species and wild ecosystems, including actions to defend wilderness and biological diversity
Grant applications deadlines are Nov 2, 2007 (and Apr 27).

Aquatic Ecosystems and Terrestrial Ecosystems
The Bullitt Foundation.
The mission of The Bullitt Foundation is to protect, restore, and maintain the natural physical environment of the Pacific Northwest for present and future generations. The Foundation invites proposals from nonprofit organizations that serve Washington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, western Montana (including the Rocky Mountain range), and coastal Alaska from Cook Inlet to the Canadian border.
Grant applications deadlines are Nov 1, 2007 (and May 1).

CSCOR FY08 Regional Ecosystem Prediction Program / Grants.gov - NOS-NCCOS-2008-2001064 (open Jul 2, 2007)
DOC. NOAA. Center for Sponsored Coastal Ocean Research.
Funding opportunities includes three separate regional ecosystem prediction projects, one of which is Invasive Species in the Great Lakes -- A Regional Scale Approach.
The deadline for submitting proposals for the invasive species project is Oct 1, 2007.

Legacy Resource Management Program (open May 15, 2007)
DOD. Legacy Program.
The Legacy program helps the DoD resource managers balance the need for military training and testing while protecting the DoD natural and cultural resources. Areas of emphasis include invasive species control.
Pre-proposals are due Sep 4, 2007, and full proposals are due Nov 1, 2007.

Keystone Initiative Grants
National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
Under their new strategic plan, the Foundation seeks to achieve measurable outcomes on a select set of conservation issues through the Keystone Initiatives. Within each of the initial Keystone Initiatives (i.e., Birds, Freshwater Fish, Wildlife & Habitat, Marine & Coastal), the Foundation has established specific funding priorities.
Project proposals are received on a year-round, revolving basis with two decision cycles per year.
Pre-proposals are due Sep 1, 2007 (and Apr 1)and full proposals are due Nov 1, 2007 (and Jun 1).
