The Florida Senate passed a bill Thursday that would make it a crime to release pythons, anacondas or other nonnative reptiles into the wild, punishable by five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. The measure also increases the $1,000 bond required to "exhibit" reptiles or certain wildlife to $10,000.
