Note: On March 20, 2007 a day long workshop will be held to provide an opportunity to specifically address communication efforts around aquatic nuisance species. The workshop is intended for state, federal and tribal agency administrators and technical staff, universities, non-governmental organizations and corporations to share information about and discuss the successes and challenges in developing and implementing communication strategies about aquatic nuisance species as well as other pertinent scientific information Additionally, participants should view this as an opportunity to strategize where and how these communication efforts can work to reduce the spread of known aquatic nuisance species and threats from new species to address one of the most significant aquatic resource issue of our time.
