Through this RFP, the USDA will make loans, loan guarantees, and grants to farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses to purchase renewable energy systems and make energy efficiency improvements. $11.4 million expected to be available for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. 75% cost share required. $176.5 million available in guaranteed loan authority.

Project focus is on the design, construction and operation of an integrated biorefinery employing lignocellulosic feedstocks for the production of combinations of liquid transportation fuels, biobased chemicals, substitutes for petroleum-based feedstocks, and energy in the form of electricity or useful heat. Biobased Industry Outlook Conference

Closed-Loop Biodiesel Production Wins EPA Award

House Passes Renewable Energy Funding
