Feral Cattle Isolated and Genetically Distinct

Feral cattle on Alaska's Chirikof Island are genetically distinct from commercial breeds raised in the United States. That's the conclusion of Agricultural Research Service (ARS) scientists studying the genetic diversity of these hardy animals. http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/pr/2008/080909.htm
